This is our first night at home without David. He should be flying right now for his trip and looking forward to learning that he made it to his layover. The girls were unbelievably good tonight. We had a casual night that entailed pizza, ice cream, and a kid movie. Thankfully Nicholas went to bed without much effort. After the movie the girls were great with the nighttime ritual and even helped me by getting themselves ready for bed. I made sure to compliment them, give them lots of hugs and kisses, and a penny for the piggy bank. If they would do this every night of the week for 6 weeks my life would be a piece of cake. We said a special prayer for Daddy to have safe travels and I made sure they got his big hug and kiss from me with words that he loves them very much. So, the house looks crazy but what's new. After I write this I will get to work on the mess.
